Summary

Currently taking the reign as my oldest specced vintage PC in my inventory. This 486DX4 clocked at 100MHz serves as my slower MS-DOS (and early Windows) machine for speed sensitive games. If I wanted to try out games but don't care about silky smooth frame rates then this machine fits the bill.

It was originally dubbed The BACKROOMS 486 upon it's arrival due to its backstory where it was donated to me by a viewer (once confused to be a bot at first) who turned out to be a YouTube channel by the name of Retro Dragon. The creature resides from the backrooms and makes swarms of videos showcasing retro computers in DA BACKROOMS!

The origins of Retro Dragon remains a mystery outside of the fact they are a duo who run a undisclosed computer business, but its advised not to tell them 1998 was 28+ years ago.

Upon it's arrival, it originally shipped with a Socket 3 motherboard (Soyo 4SAW2) but was replaced with another Socket 3 motherboard (see Specs below) due to an issue involving Level 2 Cache. The Soyo 4SAW2 may see use in the near future)
