Welcome to the new redesign!

After some on and off work, this new redesign is finally live!

First things first, lets talk about what has changed.

We have a new logo! Going back to its handmade root instead of the pre-rendered 3D look I did in Blender last year. Originally I was set to revert to the 2024 look but I lost the project files (I used Paint.NET to make that) and decided it would be easier to take whatever I had and give it a refined coat of paint.

The return of simulated ads! Originally a feature of the DOSBox Deathmatch Club website back when I was the maintainer has now been carried over to this website. The only difference now is the larger size of 478x54 compared to 400x40 and only some of the simulated ads (not all) are brought back. I do expect to make new ones in the coming days, weeks or likely months.

The return of the gallery! The gallery was originally a feature of this site during the Razorback95 days before it was quietly shelved due to the messy maintenance it brought. This time the gallery has returned as a response to the problematic censorship situation involving NSFW art, hence I have become vocal about my interest in fanservice and began more open showing some of my NSFW artworks and the like. I also made sure to include a disclaimer before entry. All my homies hate censorship btw! Now if seeing spicy NerdBooba pics aren't your thing, there are other gallery images to check out like concept arts and screenshots. Do expect that to grow in the future!

The introduction of the portal! The portal consists of side projects, and currently the Vampire Engine Workshop and Rise of the Triad Central sites have returned albeit in a read-only state. I have plans to rework both of these sites to be more generalized as I tend to prefer that over game-specific projects. Focusing on one game can get tiring in the long run personally and its best to have variety.

However not only I have that planned but I do plan to bring back some features that were originally in some side projects like tweaking guides and various findings. Just like the Gallery pages, Expect more on that soon.

Refining the Collection! The collection page was originally just one page showcasing all the machines I used to have and currently use. To make things more cleaner, I have been in the progress of making individual pages of the collection I have. Not all machines are currently listed and few of them lack images but they will be added eventualy.

Lastly! There is more to implement on the website as I'm trying to figure more things out ever since the shift to self-hosting. I plan to add a videos section and present retro-ified versions of my YouTube content along with some extra trivia to go along with it. A talk with a few friends suggests a message board could come in handy but given the lack of activity with message boards (forums) in general combined with the hefty amount of moderation taking place, I am uncertain if that would be worth investing time into. Esspecially given bigger problems are afloat involving AI scrappers and other traffic related issues that could potentially make the website unbrowsable. If I can figure that out without sacrificing compatibility with older web browsers, then a message board can be taken into consideration. But do not guarrentee that a House of Akage message board will gain plenty of traction, it could be a ghost town just like many web forums that are still running.
